Walton Angling Club is now home to almost 80 members, most of whom live locally and share a strong interest in preserving and enjoying our waters.

The Club manages approximately five miles of the White Cart Water upstream from the weir at Waterfoot. We also hold fishing rights on the Earn Water, a tributary joining the White Cart at Waterfoot, and on the Polnoon Water, which meets the Cart below Mains Farm south of Eaglesham. 

Since July 2009 the Club has enjoyed the fishing rights for the Pilmuir Reservoir, providing an additional and much-valued benefit to members.

Walton Angling Club is more than just fishing rights. Throughout the season, members take part in regular work parties at the loch and along the river to maintain boats, banks and access points, helping safeguard the the water for future generations. The Club also hosts a popular annual outing and a Christmas Dinner, reflecting the strong sense of felowship that has always been part of club life.
